My suggestion works. Set up your Automator Application like this:
Share from FCPX sends the output to my Desktop. The Automator application then moves the file to the “TEST” folder that I designated.

Try this: save the Automator Action as an “Application.” Then set up your Share output options: Open with/Other … and point to the Automator application that will move the file.

Paul, does the tool allow a simple change to the modern widescreen aspect ratio of approximately 2.39:1 adopted in 1973? Digitally for 2K that would be 2048×858.

The tool is simply a matting kit that “crops” a 1.78:1 source to 2.35:1. The Compressor Presets handle the cropping upon output …

You mean a Letterbox Matte?If you are working with native 16:9 you might want to take a look at this tool that I built. I also have a 2.40:1 version.

You should have a .DMG that contains the clips, yes? If so, Mount it.
This clips will then appear in the clips table. You don’t want to navigate to the Stream folder. Won’t work …

I believe that Andy was just looking for a way to create a 4 channel clip so that he could conform it to the XDcam format and save it on a disc.

I don’t think Andy is looking to export four discrete mono “stems.” If this was the case you’ve explained how to do it.
