    Update………….

Having only just read your messages i wonder if i should have bought a new Lacie!!!!!DOH anyway…………….

I have been back to the shop where i purchased the Lacie 500 GB hard drive.

They sold me a new 500 GB hard drive ancopied over MOST of my AVI files associated from my project. (just so i dont have to batch capture all my video clips again)!

anynow i have now just tried booting up premiere again with my new hard drive plugged in and i keep getting an error message that shuts down the programme – Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

for the record it has also displayed the message with the old hard drive….so i dont think its the new hard drive causing the issue

the error message is as follows:

Adobe Premier Pro has encounterd an error.

    [dev\starsky\libaries\ASL\Foundation\Src\PathUtlis.cpp-213]7

i dont know how to post pics on here but somthing that seems odd is that this error message doesnt look like a genuine windows one as the red circle with a white cross going through it looks diffrent.

    thanks in advance

a very fustrated and now skint Paul
