I’m looking at the file in FinalCut now (V7.02) the details are:

    Frame Size 720 x 576
    Vid Rate 25 fps
    Compressor DV-PAL
    Data Rate 6.9 MB/sec
    Aud Rate 48.0KHz
    Aud Format 32-bit Floating Point

I can view this in the viewer and it looks good. I’m chopping a bit of the front and outputting as DV-PAL 48kHz, when view this new file in Quicktime it look good. However when I take into iDVD and encode into a DVD and playback the DVD I get nasty flicker on the highlights.

No doubt I have to upgrade my FinalCut Studio license – so many upgrades it’s difficult to keep up.

I was really just doing a sanity check didn’t want to do all this work and come to find there was a much easier way – funny that you should reference Sesame Street, this is certainly one of the programs we have been looking at as a model.

    Thanks for the input.
