Can anyone recommend a good way to export aif’s of a large bin of music (500 tracks) … to my desktop?

– file/export just does one track at a time
– select all/drag/drop to a folder on the desktop, for whatever reason stops exporting the tracks after completing what seems to be a random number of transfers (only completes 8-10 tracks)?

How can I, in essence, “batch export” these tracks?

I apologize for creating such an annoying post, but …

I’m trying to export the music tracks from my 29.97 project to a folder on my desktop … then the plan is to import them into my 23.976 project so they play as MXF files. I can export one track at a time, import it to the new project, and it works perfectly.

But if I select all the music tracks in a particular bin (for ex. 500 songs), I can’t figure out a way to batch export? If I “select all” in the bin and drag/drop to a folder on my desktop, approx 8 songs get transferred and it just stops, nothing happens with the other 492 songs?

It will be a bit time consuming, as I have thousands of tracks to convert, but nonetheless …

I’m really appreciative of your help.

I went into my 29.976 project and exported a music bin to my desktop with ALE. I opened the ALE file with TextEdit and changed the video format to 720 and the FPS to 23.976.

Then I opened my 23.976 project, created a new bin, but wasn’t able to import the ALE file. Keep getting an error that says “A error occurred on event #1. A tape name was expected but it is not present.”

These tracks weren’t even associated with a tape?

Any ideas on getting the ALE file to import?

Thanks Terence. I’m not familiar with ALE … I read a bit about it online – but is that something I’d have to download, don’t see that setting in my export options. I made sure the Media Creation setting/Media Type tab was at MXF, tried importing from the OMF drive to no avail. I’m apparently going at this the wrong way?
