Hi there, I tried that and it works in the top left and bottom right but not the other areas, the drop shadow moves outwards rather than pointing in towards the centre.

Thanks for the help Dan, it’s almost there although the angle isn’t quite working. It looks right when the layer is in the top right side, so the shadow is bottom left, but in the other corners of the comp the shadow isn’t pointed toward the centre….

Thank you for the suggestions, I eventually stuck with animating the path and adding a bit of mesh warping, which worked fine but was a little frustrating. It’s a shame there’s no way of isolating individual path points and giving them their own transform tools….

I’d like to try your method at some point though Ted, it sounds like it could work and save a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the tip, not quite sure if this is what I’m after but looks handy anyways…

Thank you! Wish I knew expression coding more thoroughly, it’s such a time saver and my workflow is so much tidier, unlike my desk… 😛

Yikes, sorry. I didn’t realise there was a showreel forum, it should’ve gone there, my bad….

Sorry to ask, I didn’t see ‘project settings’ tucked away there, which I really should have known! (never need to go there usually and was hunting around the comp settings… thanks Dave
