I am having the same problem with a .mov file that I am working with. However, it’s size is about 11.8 MB, so I assume that my system can’t handle it. (HP, P4 Dual Core, 3 Ghz, 2 GB of ram) Anyway, a 2.8 MB file (similar size and length) runs fine. Have you tried the same with smaller files?

My problem is that when I export the edited file (I want to reduce their dimensions), the 11.8 MB file looks great, but the 2.8 MB file (same length, different exported file) looks very pixelated, which, of course, is pretty frustrating. My assumption is that it has to do with the compression of the two source videos, the second being higher than the other.

Consequently, bringing the two things together, I think it may have to do with the compression of the .mov file and not your system, video size, etc.

I am quite new at this (just a fun hobby), so this might be completely wrong…..

However, if anyone has some insight on my related(?) issue, let me know. Is there a way for me to get quality out of a highly compressed .mov file?
