Extremley Slow conform of Quicktime movie clips and slow playback on timeline Premiere Pro 2.0
Hello,
It seems I am getting very slow import of Quicktime file it is around 2mb file for a test and taking about 10mins to import to Adobe Premeire Pro 2.0.
I have a Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe with a ASUS Nvidia Extreme N6600GT PCI-E 128mb ddr3 Graphics card.
2x1Gb Corsair memory in the blue slots on the memory bank. I am using SATA harddrive for the boot drive SATA 2. I have all the latest drivers for the board and Microsoft updates.
When I try tp import Quicktime the file is taking ages to conform the video clip in Adobe Premeire Pro 2.0. The whole system lags and is very un responsive while the clip is conforming along with a lagging mouse curosr.
And when it does finaly conform the clip is choppy on the timeline. Also if I open Quicktime files on the desktop in Apple Quicktime player takes around 20 secs to load a small clip and lags alot.
Has anyone had similar issues and if so what was cauing this? If I use AVI files perfect fast and responsive system just seems to come to a halt working with Apple Quicktime files, I also updated just now to the latest Apple Quicktime software and I am still having problems.
I updated Bios on the motherboard as well, run driver updates and I am very baffled by this as I have never had such a problem. The Quicktime clips are DV PAL Quicktime PAL 720×576 25fps.
Thanks,
Leo
