Hi Bouke. Thanks a lot for your reply.
I really thought that AVID was re-encoding files because it took so long.

I am using MediaComposer Mojo on HP workstation (PC).
Usually cameraman grab footage on mediapac HD which can grab AVI, QT or MXF i thinh op1a which I don’t know if it’s avid compatible.
What I need to do is just copy those files in the fastes way to a Bin.
Needless to say, the AVI or QT generated from the converter attached to the camera and Hard drive does not support the fast import.

    Thanks again.

Yes, sometimes I have to import something like 1 hour footage so it takes really a while.
I don’t get why AVID needs to recode a QT while other softwares, premiere i.e., just do it RT.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael.
They told me theu are gonna use a nNovia QC Deck encoder with a Mediapac HD connected to a Sony DSR-250.
I read that the QC deck can write MXF OP1A.

Can you tell me if it is compatible with AVID?

    Thank again.

    Thanks a lot Michael.
Actually I don’t know the camera they will be using.
Can you tell me what kind of mxf files AVID support?

The only thing I know it that the camera will record on hard disk
and they can choose between AVI or MXF.
    I suggested MXF.
    Am I right?

    Thanks a lot.

    This is pretty nice.
I wonder if could be applied to 3 or more layers like to have a handheld camera effects.

    Thanks Filip for your reply.
My intent is actually a bit different from your example.
What I need to do is to make random notes that transform to each letter.
Let’s say like a “slot machine” type.

So, many notes that go to “B”, then again notes that go to “E”, and so on in a consecutive way.

I don’t know if I can explain it properly.

    You have suggestions?
I’m not much into expressions even if I can use AE well.

    Thanks a lot.
