Hello Pierre,
all the Decklink Studio connectors have the same feature (1,2,3,4); Analog Audio Out 3 and 4 share the same connectors with AES/EBU 3&4 and 5&6, but have the same identical behaviour, for this reason all plugs must be 1/4″ TRS, for balanced and unbalanced audio.

Perception Films; have you ever had a PVR Perception too?

Good Reason :-); firewire port repair is very expansive, in my opinion it would be better to buy a Legria HV40* as a player instead of repairing the Firewire port of your XLH1.
*I just bought one under 500,00Euro while SRP is over 1000,00!
