Do I need to create the MISC folder too?
You refer to L&T, I am not sure what that is.
Are saying that if I create a DMIC folder and put the files in the folder it will work in Final cut pro.?

If I pull all the mov files out of the DCIM folder and threw out the MISC folder. I later found out that in order for final cut pro to work with the canon files you need your files to be in those folders. IF I make a folder named DCIM and MISC and put the mov files in the DCIM folder will it work with final cut pro?
