    Thank you all for your responses. I did find the “Intensity” icon in my system preferences that allowed me to select my input and output. Both are set properly but like I stated above, the card will not capture copywrite protected DVDs. It shows a black image in the log and capture window. I ended up using MacTheRipper to get the data files onto the hard drive, then I used MPEG Streamer to extract the parts that I needed.

    Apparently according to Blackmagic their card will not capture from a regular DVD due to copywrite protection. I guess I will be looking into one of the other above options.

    Walter, I don’t see anywhere in Final Cut where to assign the input aside from the Capture Presets. The card itself does not include any type of software from my understanding either. As for Mpeg Stream clip, I will try that and see how it looks. In the mean time, it would be great to figure out the Blackmagic card. We have yet to actually use it capturing. It’s primary function is to provide an output to our Panny Plasma.
