…Oh and as far as why Linux? I have wanted to be less dependent on the two big tech platforms and always have an alternative. I absolutely hate microsoft/Windows and though Mac is much more reliable, Apple still tries to put you in their bubble and I don’t like to be controlled and not have choices and such!

Thanks! As far as linux, I tried looking it up online. In the past I tried calling Black Magic and speaking to the techs there, ( i think I know all of them by now) They will NOT help and claim to not support linux. A fast way to get you off the phone.

As far as the the phone, I followed a simple little tutorial here on you tube and it helped slightly. But I’m still not too happy with it overall. I’m going to continue to investigate. Before I come to the forums, I usually look online first. I’m extra aggravated here because the footage in question is what remains after a catastrophic loss of files because I had to buy a USB memory drive which turned out to be counterfeit and I relied on it to save some files in order to continue filming over seas. I was able to retrieve some back after going beyond my technical comfort zone at the loss of more time. If anyone has more imput here, please, please post something. It is so disturbing to have to work with poor quality footage.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I only need to know if once I right click(using mac) on the distortion mesh offset stopwatch and the layer opens allowing for text input, IF I will enter all that text in that one layer box or if after the semicolon, add the following text (what looks like the other half ) expression onto another layer. Please, because I can’t find an answer anywhere and be certain.

PLEASE HELP. I don’t understand that last bit of instruction. I need to do the same thing, where I can track a liquify effect to a moving object/person. Please tell me step by step how to plug in that bit of instruction given. I’m not a professional at that level. How do I input those instructions onto footage that I tracked? VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!! There is no information anywhere on the internet on how to do this!!!!
