    Hi,

This did not work for me. I exported the 4:3 QT into compressor and check the 16:9 box and now the compressed file has a 4:3 squeezed image in the middle of the 16:9 sized frame.

Is there another setting in compressor I’m missing? And why the heck isn’t it possible to export a 16:9 QT out of FCP anyway? It seems like crazy town.

    Thanks,
    Ondine

    Hi Andy,

I’m having the same problem. Utterly mystifying. When I do a test on a shorter segment within the same timeline, the resulting QT is 16:9. But when I export the entire sequence, the QT is 4:3. I’m at a complete loss.

    Can I bring you cookies?

    🙂

Anyway, I’ve faked it by using FCP text for the freeze at the end.

    Peter,

I REALLY appreciate your help with this!

Unfortunately, you lost me with the first line, “launch RED.” I’m working in FCP with Boris title crawl?

    Whew.

    Peter,

Thanks so much for responding to my post!

I’m not sure what you mean by “hold style” keyframe for position Y. Any keyframe I place there seems to have absolutely no effect, no matter what value I type in. In fact, the X/Y values are always the same, no matter where the text is on the screen — completely baffling to me.

Also, there is no keyframe at the end of the title timeline to drag anywhere?

    Completely mystified,
    Ondine
