  • Cannot export a 16:9 QT out of FCP

    Hi,

I shot my film anomorphic and need to get a 16:9 quicktime exported out of my FCP timeline (the sequence plays 16:9 in the canvas).

When I export a small test QT using the anamorphic setting, I get a QT that is 16:9. But when I export my entire sequence, I get a 4:3 stretched QT.

I tried importing that 4:3 QT into Compressor and checking the 16:9 box, but that resulted in a file that had a 4:3 stretched image in the middle of a 16:9-sized frame.

Desperately trying to make a last-minute drop dead festival deadline and am at a complete loss.

    Thanks!
    Ondine

    Was that HD or SD?

Open with quicktime 7 (pro version)
Command J gives extra info, if you go to the video settings, you can find the size/aspect-ratio and a checkbox preserve aspect ratio.
