This function simply counts frames. I doubt there’s any real AI involved. So set the parameters and it should trigger accordingly. Of course, they also have the terminology wrong for what a “jump cut” actually is.

Correct. Often even when I stay in the program, if I go to the import window a number of times throughout the session, it doesn’t stick. Bear in mind this media is on a NAS volume mounted as SMB. Library is on a local, external drive.

This is the sorting error I’m seeing in the import window. Note that it follows no logical alphanumeric order. Once I manually re-sort it’s fine again for that pass.

I’m not sure how you are calibrating these. At work we have 8 of these and I don’t consider the viewer image on the iMacPros to be anywhere close to correct. The iMac Pros only seem somewhat accurate in FCPX, not much else.

I would have to double-check. I’m pretty sure it does at times. But typically I see this behavior most often in the import window. List view and dual displays. Regarding the latter, I tend to see various UI issues more often with dual displays than with single.

The Cut page is a valid attempt to do something like FCPX. But, unless I’m missing it, you can’t do J-cuts and L-cuts. That pretty much means if you know what you are doing, you’re going to do the least possible in the Cut page and just move straight to the Edit page.

No routine renders here with either FCPX or Premiere Pro. The only tool I ever run background renders with are Resolve.
