I’ve been waiting for this for ages too.. It’s such a pitty they won’t say anything. For all I know, they’re scratching their heads and don’t know what to do. But hopefully, they’re close to an update of Resolve which includes support for MC Color.

I have asked over and over for quite some time about this, but I don’t dear to do it any more. I fear I’ll end up in their “blacklisted e-mails”. 🙂

I’m still using the same tool as I’ve always used with Color, and now with DaVinci. A Wacom Inutos 4, and as of today, a Logitech G13. I tossed the ShuttlePRO2 to make space for the G13. Boy does it make the table look a little cooler.

A Wave, Euphonix MC Color or DaVinci Resolve panel would be nice, but you don’t need it. I’ve graded a few short films, a music video and a couple of ads for the big screen already. With a Wacom…

I don’t mean to be rude – but why do you keep picking on DaVinci, and lurking around in these forums if you’re not interested in the product?

Price is one thing. Having a better tool to get the job done.. well.. That’s priceless. For me, going back to Color would make me a slightly more depressed man.

    Good for you.

Now for the issue of this topic: I had a similar crash once. (as if Color never crashes and makes things go nuts…) I discovered that I had an ” autosave” (or similar) project now. Resolve saved a copy of the project. Didn’t it do that for you ?

You need to make sure the source files overlap each other in the Conform page. If you have two clips that should fade, right click in the timeline and enable Edit mode. Then you can click and drag either end of a clip and adjust as needed. You’ll have dissolves right in DaVinci !

    Remember to Disable editing!

I’m waiting for Euphonix support too. Been waiting for it too long if you ask me… A heads up from either side (Euphonix or BMD) would be great. I don’t want to sit on the fence and wait if it’s gonna take another three months. I know, I should “get a panel now, and get the Euphonix later”. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford buying new and fancy rocket science stuff all the time, though they’re cheap compared to the Resolve panel..

I ordered a G13 last night. Will arrive on monday or tuesday. Can’t wait! Will be used for more than just Resolve though. I sense it will come in very handy in LightWave 3D, Final Cut and what not. And it’s so cool you can assign colors to the different “pages”!

Think I’ll put the ShuttlePRO2 on the shelf..

As far as I know – this is normal behavior. You should convert the AVC material to Prores or something Resolve plays with.

Good to hear. Is it bad of me to envy the schedule you have ahead? 🙂 Wish more people in this country would value this art and craft more than just using drag-and-drop presets from Magic Bullet !! (in many cases, that’s what they think I do and they’re upset when they hear my rates….)
