But by default the in-out in most NLE is “I” and “O”.
So most likely that you or someone else unknowingly was changing the keyboard shortcut. Also, no generalization how certain project took long render whilst others is not.
For instance, i have 5 min project right now that took 3.5 hours to render, because it deals with footage that need to be conformed (scaling, fps) by premiere to the sequence setting.
That’s because i turn on the option to Use Maximum render, so it gives better scaling for the footage that needs to be scaled up.
Many things affect how long a render took, dynamic link with AE for instance, video effects, lumetri, etc.
In your case it deals with more that that i believe, you’ve said :
my greenscreen was transcoded to DNxHD and those other f/x (dancing girls, helicopter, crazy guy) were downloaded from youtube so they were mp4, low quality at that.Keying out greenscreen is processor intensive work. Also i’m assuming you/premiere need to scaled-up/conform some footage. On top of that, you said you use lumetri. All of this is adding up to render time.

Can you post your render / export setting ?——————————————

Don’t treat TV the same like you did in PC using VLC.
Testing it on VLC on your machine means nothing on your workflow.Find the TV spec on the website.
You didn’t find anything changed in the Preview output when you fiddle with the scale option because the source and the output still on the same ratio.
It only affected if you use a different source and output ratio (eg: Source in 4:3 but the output is on 16:9)In case of scaling, theoretically you will have better scaling result if you check the “Use Maximum Render Quality”, but only if you have different dimension with your source and your output.

Sorry, i should be more clear about that.
What i mean is :
Export as FCP XML, Exit premiere.
Delete your cache files and cache database.
Open premiere again and the project files. Try to export it.
Still failed ?Then import the FCP XML, you will have new sequence. Try export that.
Still failed ?How do you export your file ? Directly from Premiere or is it through AME Queue?
If it is through AME, turn off AME preference to import Sequence natively. Try export that.

I’m not sure what you mean.
Can’t you just resize the panel using mouse ?
Hover then drag in between panel when the cursor turn like this ?

May 20, 2016 at 4:06 pm in reply to: Making16x9 footage suitable for a Vertical Video DisplayYeah no other option if that’s the case. It’s either pan and scan, cropped, black bar/matte, or ugly resize.
Since the source is 4K, can’t you play with resize ? Obviously you sacificing the left/right frame (pan&scan).——————————————

If that the case. Perhaps that the metadata of the source/conform files in the project files is broken.
Here’s an idea. export the timeline as FCP XML. This should remove all Premiere feature, retaining only the in-out point. Are you still having trouble ? Or is it already being solved (by placing them in different project)?
The wav audio you’re using. Is it conformed to the project ?
What error code did you get ?Are the deadline is tight ? If it is, and you’re exporting to H.264 as final delivery, just export the video, then mux the audio with 3rd party tools (eg:MeGUI, FFMPEG etc)
I actually have experience a rare case similar to yours, at first i thought it was an audio related case, no problem whatsoever when i playback on premiere, but giving me error almost at random times whenever i export.
But turns out it was video related (i use a mixed source Video codec file that Premiere turn out didn’t like it).But let’s forget about that for a moment, but keep that option in mind.
We assume first the audio was the culprit somehow. Can you send me the audio files if it possible ?

You didn’t have to rename the files, you can rename the clip instead. It’s faster than manually placing titles.
I don’t know how you manage the footage, but if we renaming something and press enter, it automatically goes to the next footage below. Making it really easy to rename clip consecutively. The benefit would be, if you using the same clip elsewhere, you didn’t have to place title again.
Although because the project is already ongoing, renaming the clip would not make the overlay appear in the old timeline.
But you can easily solve this by match frame (F), then you can replace the clip in the timeline with a new clip name with in-out point intact.
Using shortcut to “replace clip from source”, this can be done much faster than manually placing titles, also you minimize the work need to be done if you trim clip, since the Shot overlay is done automatically.
Also you can limit the overlay info, say you didn’t want the overlay to show up in the mercury transmit, or in playback. But it’s your project, you ultimately decide what’s the best option would be.
Also you said that the project is being edit by 2 editor, so yeah renaming the files would be a better option.
That was just my 2 cents.Happy editing !
