Hey all,
So the problem is now fixed.
When I originally look at the keyframe contextual menu, I only examined the temporal keyframes (“scale” does not offer the option of “temporal” or “spatial”). I went back looked at the “spatial” option under the “Motion” attribute and saw that Premiere had decided that I wanted a continuous bezier. When I switched it back to linear it fixed the problem.
So frustrating that Premiere does this by itself but glad it is resolved.

I almost got photoshop to work but the motion interpolation between frames was too rough.
An AE script ended being the right call.

OK, Holy Cow, Walter. That’s insane. I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to try it out. And in literally less than a minute it made the 70 files into the comps I needed.
And after I ran the script I was gonna wait until tomorrow to look at the code but nope, had to have that immediate gratification.
The script looks so clean and I understand a lot of it. I’ll need to drill down a bit on the math formulas for the blur, drop shadow etc. I am assuming the formulas are intended to have those effects come in as a ratio of the actual image and not a hard number that results in some attributes being too blurry, shadows too big/small, etc.
And thanks for the // notes. Very helpful.
Quick question, does it matter what javascript code editor I use. I downloaded VSCode so I can see the script but I also know that AE has a script editor but it won’t let me install it. I am running version 17.6.0

Thanks Walter and I know you are right.
There is just something infuriatingly maddening that a task so simple requires a $50 plugin.
It’s almost a matter of pride at this point. Plus I am learning a lot of stuff in the process.
If I can’t make it work it’s good to know I can fall back on the script.

Swing and a miss.
Bridge DOES allow original file names to be saved in the XML raw data but neither AE nor Premiere nor PS have the ability to read “preserved file names”. Leastways I didn’t see it as an option
If the CC apps had the option to read “Preserved file names” in the XMP Metadata window I *think* that would have been a viable solution.

Oh, man, that’s slick.
Unfortunately, I need to retain the naming conventions as my producer is providing the pictures and using their file names to indicate where on the timeline they need to be dropped.
So I’m not sure there is a convenient way to create repeatable image names for AE while keeping track of the unique file names for me.
I wonder if I can automate PS to imbed the file name into a metadata tag/file info before I batch rename the images to a generic 3 digit serial number. The Metadata ports through AE and can then be viewed under the Metadata Display when I open Premiere?

I think that’s a smart way to go, or at least a good start.
I looked at the commercial scripting packages and it seems like what they offer is way more than I need.
I also tried using Photoshop and I actually was able to create an action that could batch render a folder full of images. Unfortunately, the interpolation between frames is in PS very crude and the image scaling stutters. It’s only a slight stutter but unacceptable.

Hi, I am trying to assign Shift+1 to focus on the project window and the customization window is refusing the change. The numeric key is available but will not take.
Thoughts?
(And yes, this happened after the requisite update needed to open a co-workers file.)
