To encode to something else you are covered by the decoder license in Vegas.
Technically if you sell a video encoded in AVC format you might be required to pay a fee. Unless you are a selling massive quantities like commercial DVD/Blu-Ray don’t worry about it. It would cost MPEG-LA more money to deal with the little guys than the money they would actually receive.

Legacy text might be getting confused with English and Arabic in the same media generator. Two different reading orders in the same event.
Does it (Arabic) work if you keep English and Arabic in separate media events? I know that is more busy work but it might get you going.
Does the Titles and Text text generator have the same problem?

With a lot of Vegas crashes, one of the first things to try is to disable GPU in your preferences and see if you can render.

The problem report(s) going around are with regards to importing XAVC-L Long Gop from specific camera(s). The one I have seen talked about is the Sony PXW-X70.

The big question is will Catalyst grow to be more Vegas like or will Vegas get some of the big changes from Catalyst. Specifically, the cross platform GUI and the redesigned internal dataflow structure.

From within Vegas, you can use either the Mainconcept AVC or Sony AVC encoders and start with the Internet 1080p templates. Then you can adjust the parameters as necessary. Frame rate, video bitrate and audio bitrate, etc.

“By that logic x264 does not generate proper AVC/H.264 since it is not x264 licensed by the MPEG group. Same can be said of the LAME MP3 encoder. Are files encoded by these “real”.
Prores is a trivial codec. It is simple DCT based I-frame encoding. This is very much like JPEG images are DCT based. Same general principles. Just a more modern specification. The same thing can be said of DNxHD and Prores is kinda a mirror of much DNxHD.
The video stream cannot be identified as non Apple but the encoder metadata can.

Just a lot of keyframing with changing the text color from one color to another using a “Hold” setting on each keyframe transition.
For info on keyframing, look in the Vegas help. Search for “keyframe” in the index.

You cannot get rid of the zooming but you can minimize it. Here is a post I once did when I found some quirks with the built-in Vegas satabilier.
