I could use the 3:2 pulldown, but the 23.98 motion is much cleaner & crisp (aside from that jitter frame every 1/2 second or so).

This material is 1080i. On FCP, the sequence specs are: 1280×1080, compressor-DVCProHD 1080i60, frame rate: 23.98. This was the suggested settings from Aja’s tech support people.

Peter,

In FCP, what would the Capture/Sequence settings be?

1280×1080, HD (1280×1080) (16×9) at 23.98 or
1920×1080, HDTV 1080i (16×9)?

The 900 shoots at 1920×1080 on HDCam, but I’ve read on the forum to use 1280×1080.

Thanks for your tips. You said I “can not transcode to dvc pro hd 720p out of the deck or with the Kona 2 card.” Does that mean that I CAN digitize to DVCProHD 1080 from the JH3 HDCam deck, just not 720p?
