Hi Dan, I too am trying to get random jump cuts at irregular intervals, but this expression, and the one on MotionScript.com don’t seem to produce true jump cuts, since footage with jump cuts would only cut forward in time. These expressions make the footage go forward and back and anywhere between the inPoint and outPoint. I’m wondering if there’s an easy solution to this?
What I thought would work, was to change the minVal and maxVal. So I tried this:
maxCutLength = 1 //Maximum amount that the footage can jump forward
minVal = time;
maxVal = time + maxCutLength;
While this does a better job of making the footage move more linearly in time, it still jumps back in time, as well as forward in time.
-Thanks
