I don’t know of a way to directly do this in X and most text within the app is not accessible to Automator. The way I would do it is build the charts in Numbers using feeds from live stock and then export screenshots of numbers into a folder that FCPX was already linking to. Then just open the project in X and the graphics will automatically update.

Depends on the drive and the version of the OS you’re running. It *can* work but as there are many variables that affect this it’s worth trying on your system and see what happens.

Scale value is in the inspector- make sure fit/fill is set to your liking in the spatial conform settings. Then copy paste attributes from the first clip to others like it.

No freebies beyond the built in enhancement tools in X- and some creative EQ/Compression. Garbage in garbage out as they say.

The freebies will take it to a certain level- noise reduction/normalization. But to really fix bad sound you need:

Or if you’re going to throw away the Canon files anyway add a ProRes transcoder like at Atomos Ninja directly onto your Canon and go much much faster. Either way you’re going to be wasting a ton of time transcoding files you don’t even really want to use otherwise.

You’re overwhelming your hardware. I would suggest going to proxy mode for editing then when you’re completely done switch back to original media mode and export.
Or condense down some of the layers to exports and simplify the number of simultaneous tracks. That many layers would nearly overwhelm a top of the line Mac Pro off the internal SSDs to say nothing of a MBP on an external drive.

Confused- why are you converting your own proxies? The workflow is super simple:
Import Camera Footage
Transcode to Proxy Media
Edit in Proxy Mode
Switch to Original Mode when editing is done.
