Best way to tell is test performance on your most complex project and see what works best. I would guess you’ll need all the speed you can muster with that number of angles. Especially if you are using the DSLR camera formats and not proxies/optimized media.

the camera archive function would be the better option here than attempting to grab ranges.

Second one, good idea too not sure we’re there yet with current technology. Premiere had this feature for a while but they removed it probably because the recognition accuracy was so low it was not really usable

That’s a limitation specific to the P2 format- you cannot grab specific ranges because to do so would require a recompression and lose a generation in quality. I would recommend Joe’s workflow.

That will show clips in use in a Project timeline but not specifically clips that have been synced/multicamed but not yet edited into a timeline.

Yes it will always point to the originals but you’ll find the optimized versions in your Library or wherever you choose in Preferences.

I generally do this via appending the media name with a specific text string and then adding that text string into a Smart Collection to sort them out of the general media pool.

Perhaps they’re different formats in some way. I’d try making them into a Multicam clip. If that doesn’t work, go old school and manually sync it back like they did a century ago.
