Yep, the bottom line takeaway with FCPX is that 2 editors can collaborate simultaneously from the same pieces of media on a shared network. But not simultaneously on the same Library.

Performance is not really the point- they are used for streamlining visual organization on a timeline- like nesting. Anything that needs rendering will still need rendering within a Compound Clip.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Youtube changed its api and no longer works with that version of FCPX. Update to the current version or upload via YoTube’s website directly.

Delivery requirements vary greatly from broadcaster to broadcaster which is why there’s no preset. Ask the broadcaster- nearly all have those spelled out clearly in a PDF.

Make sure you are using an original image that matches the dimensions of DVD. If memory serves for 16:9 NTSC it’s 720×540.

Hard to say without look at your Console. But lots of spods like that are due to random network or storage related issues and are not necessarily app specific.

Is there an updated plugin for that format? Is it supported in X? Have you updated ProVideo Codecs?
