In encore 2.0 I have set region code 5 and created a video folders. after that in gear pro I open that dvd folder and write DDP image. Is there any particular setting in gear pro for setting a region code or it should be without any setting?

i have 4 scene selection menu up to third menu everything is perfect in forth menu the third button shows perfect motion thumbnail. but on pressing that it plays from incorrect point say two minute back. after that every scene get shifted to next button and last scene selection is gone i am burring it on DL+R but it also shows in ISO. when i play all the video appears on perfect timecode but when i do particular scene selection timecode is shifted.

i ma clueless

i am using these computer in editing environment. most editors misuse the drive share capability. i want network just to copy move data.

this is memory related issue. cashe memory tends to get full. try restarting the your mac. switch off all thumnail icons. try exporting it in two parts.

i can definitely afford macpro as a server and specialty ethernet equipment, i have already seen your affordable san solution article. which is really exiting.

just last thing i wanted to know, do i need fiber or sas type storage connected to server?

or can i share my one FCP local drive(3 drive raid) where i am going to do all my capturing with other two?

i can buy one macpro and specialty ethernet equipment, just trying to avoid extra storage money.

Sorry for short info. I would be working on DV-PAL compression with four stream timeline.

by affordable I mean, would I need fiber storage? Is it possible in Ethernet based solution? Like using jumbo frame switch or using both the Ethernet ports on macpro(link aggregation?) and work without any independent server? My budget is too tight I can’t spend big money right now. In future I would love to.

i got three macpro connected through normal one gig switch for fcp edit suites. that means its on single isolated network. i tried using both the ports and aggregating them. it did not better network speed in any way as u said.

did u mean if i get some multitreaded application that will help me in any way.
or these two port are not meant for that propose. it only to balance traffic on multiple network

when i double click on project file application get launch. i can see percentage bar. it ask for updating project. after that application get hang. nothing happens. i haven’t tried opening within fcp.
