    Hello Dave,

    Thank you so much for your swift comment! As it happens, I copied all the QT components from my laptop’s library (both MAC HD and user) to the Mac Pro’s libraries and it fixed the problem! I knew the moment I posted I’d find a solution!

    Hello,

    I am also having issues with Apple ProRes 422 and After Effects. I am running FCP 6 and AFX CS5 and the options are not available to me in either software! I believe I have been able to render ProRes from my laptop that has the same set-up as my Mac Pro but can’t from my Mac Pro.

    I have tried downloading and installing the component but it doesn’t allow me to do so as it says there’s an older version already installed on the machine.

    Frustrating as my current project requires all media to be output at ProRes and it’s a biggie! Any ideas anyone?
