Ok the solution that I have settled for is not perfect, but ok:
– I select range in Premiere CS3, export. It is added as a job in the MediaEncoder queue.
Then I go back to Premiere and do the same thing for next range, and then next range etc etc.

When all ranges have been exported to Media Encoder, I start the queue.

At least that way I dont have to wait for the encoding until I export the next clip…

the material is a 25 minute long take with a canon ixus 640×480 pix, 30fps if it matters…
