I know. I’m literally at a total loss as I’ve researched a ton and tried just about everything and each export is black boxed. The only time it doesn’t do it is if I export at a higher res like 2048

Do you have any other ideas of what it could be? Does it relate to the “scale to frame size” option or having square pixels?

But when I try the other options, it doesn’t actually change much. And do you notice how the black bars are NOT on the right/left sides in the export window but they ARE in the final video (see youtube screen shot).

I guess my questions are:

is there a way to eliminate the black box altogether? is it related to what my aspect ratio is in my sequence? in my export?

is there a way to at least eliminate the side black bars you see in the youtube video?

is it correct to edit 2k (2048×1152) and then export 1080? do I need to copy/paste my edited clips into a 1080 sequence at the very end before export?
