I’m not sure if this is the best way or will get what you want, but maybe you could use a crop filter. That way you can type the numbers in for right, left, top, and bottom, to make sure they match each other if that’s what you want. However, you can’t invert a crop filter, I don’t think, so depending on what type of mask you’re trying to do, that may not work, or you may have to put it on a white or black solid and mess around with the blend mode. I’m not an expert there so just throwing out some possibilities.

Thanks Jon, I appreciate the reply! Generally I avoid using mp3s so that’s not the main issue, but it’s good to be reminded as I think I slipped a few in to some sequences as temp tracks that are slowing things down even further.

Hi Greg,

I appreciate the reply. I will certainly look into submixing, I have never used it before. As far as the first part of my question, I’ve done further research as you suggested but still have not come up with a solution. You said that it’s possible, could you tell me how to do it or point to a link that explains it? Thanks again.

In most cases, I don’t need it to remain a multicam sequence. How do I collapse the multicam or disable multicam playback? Thank you.

I do only have one source, and then to get it to show up when I do full screen video, I click on the wrench in the source monitor and select ‘Composite Video.’ Then it will appear fullscreen, but with the yellow box still around it. This is from the multicam sequence, not from the original individual source. The point is to be able to sync audio and video in a multicam sequence, and then watch that fullscreen without the distracting yellow box. Thanks again for your help.

Why should the merged clips option never be used?

I’m fairly new to syncing on Premiere, but this article says that many of the reasons people didn’t like to use merge clips to sync in the past have actually been corrected.

I have a lot of footage to sync and I’m also going to be the one cutting the film so I want to make sure what works right for me technically and creatively.
