Thanks – had to make the layers inside the precomp 3D too then crop them, but looks great now.

Don’t think keylight is the problem here – I had the exact same vertical lines in a piece of footage without any effects applied.

I came across this recently – for me I simply had to change the ‘interpret footage’ settings. Nothing to do with keylight as far as I’m aware. Aspect ratio correction?

I’ve always found outputting as H264 through the render queue (16:9 with audio) to be pretty buggy.. plus the result is touch and go quality wise. You recommend using 3rd party compression tools such as adobe media encoder in a post of yours ealier this year – why the change of heart?

    Thanks 🙂

That sounds ideal – do you know where I can get hold of a version of the media encoder that runs alongside CS3? Have tired downloading the version adobe host from their website but it’s not compatible.

    Thanks again

thanks for getting back to me – strange situation! on my mac the thumbnails seem to display the correct colour, but the minute I open the file in photoshop, quicklook, preview etc, the image appears tinted blue-purple.

but seems to have sorted itself out – restarted after effects and no more trouble.. hmm!

oh so yeah you can pretty much do this by parenting the coords of a corner pin to the position of the origin layer and target layer.

but would be interesting to know why I had to apply the expression to a null before the if statement would work anyway!

    thanks
