I did post a more detailed response to Scott
Its just jerky almost like fields are missing.

Hey Scott thanks for the response.
Its a new Mac Pro.
Dual Core 2 ghz
2 gigs ram
Intel chips.
Its smooth thru after effects.
Through FCP any kind of footage is jerky.

My Decklink card sadly does not fit as the bus is PCI e on the new Mac Pro.
Sux.
So I am just winging it with the firewire in the interim. But it is concerning.
