It’s a Panasonic PV-GS180 miniDV.
I think I figured out the problem. I went and deleted a bunch of junk of the hard disc, tried WinDV again, and everything worked fine. That was probably it, insufficient free space.
I didn’t use Vegas ’cause I had WinDV before I had Vegas, and it works great. Also, I didn’t know Vegas could capture in AVI, only MPEG-2. I tried this before w/ a different program, only to find out my PC isn’t powerful enough to capture directly to MPEG-2. Some guys have told me the processer has to be quite strong to do this. Mine isn’t.
I’m filimg GWAR and Kingdom Of Sorrow on Thursday, and will try those tapes w/ Vegas and see how it goes.
