Vegas 7 Editing
Hello;
I’ve just picked up a copy of Sony Vegas 7, and need some help. I have two different camera angles of the same concert, and want to make a 2-camera mix, then burn to DVD. How would I make the multi-cam mix? I know it involves cutting and pasting, but I just can’t figure it out. I’ve looked all over the net, and can’t seem to get an answer. If someone can give me a link to a tutorial, or a step-by-step, I will be greatly appreciative. Thank you very much!

IIRC, multicam was only native in v8 onwards.
you can still do it manually in any version, by adjusting the track motion for each track, so that you can see all cameras at once, then dropping M markers wherever you want to make a cut later.
OR you can download some tools with 15 day trial periods, that will make your life a lot easier 😉

There is also InfinitiCAM from VASST if you don’t want to go for the price Ultimate S Pro. All of the VASST script products work in Vegas 6, 7 & Pro 8 so no worries about which version to buy.

Thanks for the help. I have both versions on seperate DVDs, and I’m an extreme Vegas NOOB, can you give me a short step by step on how to do it manually? (I’m not sure how to adjust the motion of the tracks and cut the clips). I’d be greatly appreciative. I’d like to at least try this before I drop the $69 on InfinitCAM. Thanks!

You don’t have to drop any money on infinitiCAM first. There is a 15-day free trial so you can work with it for two weeks on your project and see if you like it before you buy it.
