    Hey Curtis,

Thanks so much for the reply. Basically I’m trying to hook up an add’l monitor for my iMac (for video editing) plus another display for clients to watch. iMac + 2nd monitor + 3rd monitor (tv).

Ideally, I would set up the third monitor as an ‘external device’ in FCP or Avid, but I hear that costs several hundred dollars to configure. So I was thinking I could use the monitor as an additional computer monitor output and ‘full screen’ the video playback. Does that make sense?

Any advice or alternative methods would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah it’s definitely not a font problem. Is there a way in Motion to “flatten” the image without making a QT (like merging layers in photoshop)? Maybe I can solve it that way?

Yeah it is installed… I tried some other fonts, and it had the same issue. It’s only “outline” (drop shadow, for example, works fine). Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

Hey thanks for the quick response. I actually am bringing the Motion file directly into FCP. (sorry if that wasn’t clear.) And I’ve also tried exporting to QT first and importing that into FCP. Same problem either way.

I haven’t checked fontbook — do you mind explaining how I would go about checking something like that? The font is Playbill, if that matters.

    Thanks!
