Mac OS10.14.5
MC 2019.8.0
Had the Console window open. It did not open on its own.
Had just completed re-creating multiple directory dbs in attempt to recover several Media Offline files which seemed to have just vanished on their own from a previous project while leaving most of a timeline in place. (Which didn’t work.)
Any input is greatly appreciated.

If you can have a computer physically near the Comcast box you can plug in directly to one of the RG45 ports using a Cat 5 or 6 networking cable. That should be faster than the WiFi the box creates. It can also help if you try this while your family ISN’T streaming videos, playing games, video conferencing, etc.

Mildly off topic but I’ve had good success with hiring a local cameraman to frame and light to my specifications and then using FaceTime between an iPad with the interviewee and the computer on my end. The shooter then uploads the files he shot. The quality and especially A/V synch is therefore perfect.
This has let me conduct and guide the interview without having to travel to the location (in the last case Minnesota in February).

Can we assume that “by WiFi” means that you are using a shared / someone else’s WiFi? Starbucks, local library, hotel? The operative word here is “shared” meaning that your speeds may be substantially reduced by traffic from other users.
We have a cable modem that feeds our NetGear WiFi hub and, while cable upload speeds are only a fraction of cable’s download speeds, we don’t seem to have many issues with files that size or larger.

Late to the thread, but…
Sinking feeling it my gut from reading how many of us have had similar experiences. My latest was “Well our customers take 90 or more days to pay us, so…”Me: “Yes, but you USED to pay in 30 days and I’m not a bank.”
(However I do have a contract with this client written years ago in which they agree to pay 1.5% per month (which calculates to 18% on an annual basis) on past due invoices. And get this: for the last six months THEY HAVE. This leads me to believe that the people processing our invoices either don’t read them, don’t care or both.)
Word of caution to newbies and perhaps those of us not so new: The “2% 10 days, Net 30” often doesn’t work at all. Some organizations take the 2% discount when they finally do pay knowing that if you want the work you will not enforce the 2% rule.
Long and short of it is to develop deep client relationships where they need what you do and fear that they can’t easily find it elsewhere.

Something that worked better than expected for me a few years back: I played back an SD show through one AJA card on an SD computer and into another AJA card on a second computer using HD settings. At least this looked a LOT better than digitizing the tape straight into the HD machine. I don’t remember many other of the details in part because we no longer have either of those set-ups or cards. Is this any help?

OK, just a parallel but far more stupid example:
Earlier this week picked up my line 1 phone # and it had the intermittent /beeping dial tone, indicating that there was a voicemail. Let’s see what it is, so speed dial in the access number. Recording says: “You have one message. Dial your TEMPORARY access code and press pound.”
Dial my access code. Recording says: “That code is invalid. Dial your TEMPORARY access code and press pound.”
So a few more times I dial my access code and the recording says: “That code is invalid. Dial your TEMPORARY access code and press pound.”
In frustration I search my Verizon phone bill to find someone to call. (Found the 800 # in 4 point type on the back of page 4 of the bill.) After much waiting and then agreeing to allow the cue line to call me back in order, I FINALLY (after still more waiting once called) I am connected to a human.
The tech support human (almost) explains that they’ve recently updated their voice-mail system and this was explained to me by voicemail. So after finally getting the temporary password I was able to dial in and the message What I received was… wait for it… the explanation that they had “updated their voice-mail system. ” So checked the message and wouldn’t you know it? It was Verizon informing me that they were updating their voice-mail system and giving instructions on how to set-up the new voice mail.
When a company as large as Verizon can so something this stupid ANYTHING is possible.
