Thanks for responding. Well I tried creating a sequence with a 720p 60f timeline but there is no option for that type of sequence. The closest sequence is a 720p 30f timeline which doesn’t work. I tried your option of exporting it and I get an error saying that I might not have the appropriate hardware installed for that codec. So does that mean that Final Cut Pro does not support an HDV 720p 60f codec?

What I am finding is that it is not my AJA that is creating the problem. Because we are now using mini dv more and I am getting a similiar issue. When I capture mini dv it will freeze the video and audio for a half a second. This does not de sync my audio like it does for my Beta SP ingest but it does create a need to recapture the media so I don’t have a weird freeze in the middle of important segments.
Could this be due to my computer having some kind of cache that is freezing my computer in essence freezing my ingest? Any help would be huge. Thanks

Clearing out the storage drive seems to have solved my problem for now. I have ingested an hours worth of footage and haven’t experienced any problems. Thanks for you help.

Thanks for the tip. I just dumped a bunch of video off of my Raid and I’m ingesting a bunch of footage today so I’ll let you know if that is the problem. Regards, Nick
