Hi, I’m editing some footage on Saturday. I have not had a chance to even touch the XL H1 and I’m trying to find out the correct capture/sequence settings for 30F. Can Final Cut handle 30F HD video from the XL H1?

    Thanks,

Hi, I’m sorry, I can’t answer your question but I am going to edit some footage shot on the XL H1 on Saturday. They are shooting 30fps and said Final Cut 5 could handle that. Can I ask what capture settings you used?

    Thanks,

I have to create a 4:3 DVD to play in a festival. Deadline is of course coming quick. I created a new 4:3 sequence, dragged my anamorphic sequence to the canvas of the new 4:3 sequence and chose overwite. I followed all of the instructions and got the correct 4:3 letter boxed format but I also have a problem with a freeze frame behaving badly in both the QT and DVD as well as some music fading out. None of this is a problem in the timeline. Below is a summary of the problems I am having. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

The freeze frame problem does not happen in the QT, it only happens after buring a DVD.

Thanks for the information. I’ll see if I can find out how to adjust the camera and if the site is available for a reshoot. We had a really hard time finding an office to shoot in and I think this is the only location where a reshoot might not be possible.

    Thanks,
