  • Hi celeste, well I was only asking becaus ethat is exactly what I have been working out over the last week. So i have learned quite a bit and have some much better results now.
The best i can say at this moment is that the file you create should be in adobe rgb1998 workspace. When you save the illustrator document make sure that “save compatible pdf” is ticked ON. Open the pdf by going to your normal illustrator file and hold command key as you click the file, you will see the option to open WITH pdf – at this point I am assuming you have an apple mac? On windows it is probably right click the mouse and open as. The illustrator file will open as a pdf. save this as some suitable name to send to her.

we can take it from here if you have any problems. But Sending her a pdf is the best way.

    Kind regards

    Chris

I have a calibrated monitor and run a strict colour managed workflow. The files are in rgb not cmyk since we are not printing outside. I think that you are right – illustrator does not like inkjets – that’s the problem. Orinting from pdf works a tad better regarding colour accuracy – no idea why – theoretically it shouldn’t?
