    Hi guys,

I have a composition with a camera panning around several pre-comped images (in Z position) which (with the help of this script) get more transparent the further they are away from the camera.
I have to zoom in on specific images within the pre comps, some of which are at the outer areas of the pre comps. Unfortunately this script uses the distance between the anchor point of the pre-comp and the camera, so when panning out towards the edge of a comp onto an image, the pre-comp becomes more transparent due to the distance becoming greater.

Is there any work around for this??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi there!

Any idea how you’d do this with only the camera Z position relative to a layers anchor position?

I’m trying to create a zoom in through multiple grids of pre-composed images where the grids in the distance are more transparent.

Unfortunately the distance from anchor points to camera changes as i’m also panning in X & Y and presents me with a transparent image when moving from the centre of the layers.

Any idea how to modify the script so it works only on the z position?

    Thanks 🙂

    Hey Everyone!

I have several layers (in the Z axis) of pre-composed image grids (with some images missing), that a camera is moving through and around.

What I’m trying to do is move around and focus on some of these images whilst the layers in the background are more transparent as to make the composition less busy and to focus on the images in the foreground. Also, as the camera moves through the images, the grids become transparent just before they hit the camera.

I’m having trouble with Dan’s script as when the camera is moving through and around the grids, obviously the anchor point of each becomes further away from the camera and the grids become less opaque.

What I’m wondering is….if there a way to let the script reference the z position of the layer rather than the anchor point position so as to negate this issue?

    Thanks in advance for helping!

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to also add commas into the equation? So you’ve got a Dollar sign, leading zeros, and commas?

    Thanks!
