  • Here is the scenario

    A stage show.

top left section of audio from the first night, lower track from subsequent night…I mucked up on the second night, when I forgot to bring the faders up on the desk at the intro.. but that second night was good in all other aspects, performers got it right, I got it in focus, not too much audience noise etc.

Only two mice on stage. a1 is centre stage and a2 was the feed from the guitars/ piano

I tried manually matching and also using the Auto function, but thing I’d get better match with a segment of match from the first clip one audience noise has died down.

  • Umm.

    Thanks for the link.

It confirms that how I thought it should work, is what I was trying…it is just that it does not do it.

The red Template line just stays flat and un analysed when I move the cursor to the track to be analysed for the ‘source’ tone curve.
Dragging that audio to the button does not work. the drag option just does not happen.

These are audio tracks attached to a video file. all shot from the same camera.

Will just have to keep experimenting with it as it does not do as the link for Logic shows to any extent.

    Thanks for the link though.

  • I am totally new to all this, so maybe my answer is too simplistic, but I’d say you just copy the complete FCP X bundle.

Open FCP X, CMD Click the library and click Reveal In Finder.

Then in Finder copy the bundle over to the new computer.

If you have ‘managed Media’ then that is all you need to do.

Managed media is where, when you imported the original clips, you imported them in to the bundle.

if you left the original media on another drive, then you will have to copy the original media over to the ne machine too, and possible re link to it when you open the library in the new computer.

I am sorry I can not help you , but I do know this was an issue for some in 10.1.4 too. There is definitely a long thread about it over on the Apple forums. I found it when I had a similar issue.

I could not ‘fix’ my issue, so I seem to remember it was an the lines of:
    Export XML
Full uninstall of FCP X and remove al the media, followed by a re install

Then open the new FCP X and either re import all the footage, or and the XMP file and re link.

I was usign media outside the library, not managed media within the bundle
