Ad dare I say it, Avid’s. Lots and lots of Avids cutting apple content right this very minute including their first two tv shows last year and every piece of promotional content for those shows..Even the social stuff.

Awesome to think that these days a 7 year old can have access to Avid.
I consider myself lucky that my high school was one of the first places in south Orange County to have an Avid and I got to start to tinker with it at 15 years old I know alot of my peers didn’t get to touch one till much much later.

“Not always true. At the place I worked at last – all the edit bays (30) were Imacs hooked up to an Isis. The finishing team was on Imacs/Isis and only the colorist was on a cheesegrater for big jobs that we produced and shot. The rest of the stuff was theatrical so they would get finished footage eventually w/o the need to color. Those 2015 imacs maxed out are very capable for offline and online and obviously things have only gotten better.
The place I’m at now is all cheesegraters – probably 60 something bays. There’s wires all over the place and they are slow as molasses in comparison to the imacs at the old gig. Dont even get me started on PPro performance on them. Avid runs just ok.
Id hope if a new tower came out from apple we’d jump all over it.

Honestly. It must be tiring to be so upset so much. Or maybe not. Maybe that’s just what you do. I’ve certainly seen others who have the same angsty reaction in lots of situations in life. If you and I are one of those “oil and water” matchups, Ces’t la vie. “Im not angry Bill, not in the least and I respect your expertise in X – I really do.
I do however think your tendency to defend X blindly whether you know about the topic at hand or not gets a bit old at times, and to me it seems like your personal attachments to X and Apple in general can cloud your judgement when having debates about X or apple.
We are all on this forum for the same reason, there’s something we all like about X, but its ok to not like things about it too and publically talk about them w/o it instantly inciting a post from you about how people are attacking X and the rep is tarnished, and it not fair to the devs.

“There’s a difference there. Have you never publicly criticized something you bought? Something you use on the daily? You sure as hell criticized Adobe for subscriptions and Avi for being a dinosaur. People on this or any forum shouldn’t have to tip toe around your personal feelings for Apple.

The color boards were a VERY new implementation of color correction/grading. They essentially just gave us back the Color App in a new, improved, and integrated way. Definitely cannot complain about that and I’m sure the bug will be fixed eventually.

What does this have to do with wether this a bug/vs intended feature.
You really think the team at apple cares what Avid names there shit? I think apple showed it gives zero f#$%s about naming conventions right out of the gate with X.
Why do full fledged Color correction suites like Davinci and Baselight, etc use the same lingo? Got nothing to do with Avid.
