I ended up calibrating the monitor with my macbook which is still running vs10.4.11 of the mac os. Haven’t found the solution yet for using the latest version of snow leopard on my macpro.

    good luck.

Haven’t had a chance to try this yet. Just hooked up the Dreamcolor to my older intel Macbook pro running 10.4.11 and the calibration seems to be working fine. Must be some sort of conflict with new system?

I’ll check out your new lead once I reattach the monitor.

    thanks for all the help,

    Nathan

I’ve tried that in the past and just tried again without any luck.

    The computer recognizes the display.
When I go into APS program I can highlight the Dreamcolor to calibrate it. The next step is the “HP LP280zx USB Connection”. It asks me to make sure the USB cable is connected. I hit “Next” and a dialog window pops up that says to verify that the USB cable is connected between the monitor and the computer and to try again. It basically just stays caught in this loop and I can’t move to the next stage which would be “HP LP2480zx Settings”.

    thanks,

Thanks for you prompt response guys. I’ve tried the hard restart with no luck. Is there another way to calibrate the monitor if the APS can’t be made to work?

    Hey guys,

Don’t know if this thread is dead now. I’ve run into the exact same problem with the APS software not recognizing my usb connection. The usb cable is connected to the port under the monitor. I’ve attached other USB peripheral devices to the monitor’s USB ports and they work fine so the signal seems to be routing through the monitor correctly.

I am running APS vs 1.1 and snow leopard 10.6.4. I’ve tired connecting my monitor through the HDMI on my Kona LHI card running a progressive RGB signal and through the DVI connection on my Radeon HD 4870 card. Both give the same results. My computer is an 8 core 2.26 intel xeon,

    Any insight would be helpful.

    thanks,

    Nathan
