Yeah, good thinking. Or at the very least give the user some indicator of why the heck they can’t move their content!

Thanks for all the help guys. I figured it out, and the issue is crazy dumb. So, you select your clips that you want to move together, then click and drag on one of them in order to move them all. This works perfectly fine, unless the clip you choose to click and drag on happens to be an audio clip. Then you will pull your hair out, because it WILL NOT let you reposition it/them. If the top angle in your multicam happens to be your audio clip, and so you keep trying to move by that clip (because, of course. It’s what everything is supposed to synced to!), then you’re really going to lose your mind.

Moral: Do not click and drag on audio clips to move a multiple clip selection.

Right, so that’s just it. The position tool works fine if I’m moving multiple clips on the same angle. But I need to move all the clips on all the angles, and maintain their positioning relative to each other. So I need to move them together, not one ata time. For some reason, if I select clips on two separate angles then try to move them with the position tool, FInal Cut disallows me to move them anywhere. It’s infuriating.

As for “synchronize to monitoring angle”, I used that for many of my clips, but for some the audio is “insufficient”, or I’ve manually placed the clips in order to sync to my audio. It’s a lot of work I’d rather not repeat. There’s got to be a way.
