no, you can’t really get rid of this. You’d have to use a script to automate this type stuff. Not sure off the top off my head, but I believe you can find some such script at redefinery.com.

Sounds useful but perhaps you’d have more luck with making this officially a request at Adobe’s site.

Echo will only work if your logo is moving since it calculates the discrepancies between frames. The only real solution to your problem is to trace your logo and create vector outlines that could then be used e.g. with Invigorator or a 3D program.

  • [Dwaynne Villiers] “Btw, what codec do you use for the tutorials? It’s pretty sharp and has decent filesize.”

It’s just plain old Sorenson 3. I capture the files at a slightly larger res and only scale them down when converting, so maybe this helps a little to keep the detail.

  • I have no idea what you are talking about… What’s wrong with just pasting the mask shape as a keyframe and the adjusting the timing manually? Why would you want an expression for that?

You shouldn’t worry too much about the other parameters. Nobody really uses them except for very, very rare occasions as there often are other ways of achieving the same result and if you wanted e.g. to slowdown footage and make it shake using wiggle, you’d pre-compose anyway. The octaves represent the number of overlapping sinus/ cosinus patterns of the underlying Perlin noise – the less octaves, the smoother you wiggle is. Amplitude multiplier and time do just what they say – you could feed alternative values e.g in time to make your wiggle slower or faster.
