Well nothing worked last night and this morning after a good 8 hour sleep it’s back to working smoooooth. I give it two to three more hours and it’s back to shutting down on me. I have a fan on the external…see what happens.

Ya you might be right. It’s in a cool place (basement) right now. Any suggestions? Can I install more fans?

Same thing…just crashes. It’s like it needs some sleep or something.

By the way here is what I have

Mac G5 1.8 dual
3 gig RAM

Cleaned out the Render Manager and it’s working now.

I pulled the 29 min sequence apart and didn’t find any bad media/filters. FCP seems to be freezing up/error message anywhere from 1% to 23%…never made it past that 23. It all seems to be happening because of a long sequence. I’m not sure what in the heck to do from here. I’m thinking I will try to reinstall FCP again (3x now) and see if it helps but I’m starting to think that it’s OSX/G5 problems. I opened up Disk Utility and the computer froze….which is a first for me.

Anyways I need some help.

Thank You sooo much. I kep trashing my prefs. and it wasn’t helping. I never Repaired Permissions….and yep here it is 100% export.
