Ok, I`ll check when I`m back at my mac.
Does it make sense that the DV setting is fine, while the proress has nasty blurry horizontal lines?
I thought fcpx understood if I should have (i) or (p), from the first Clip added to the timeline.
anyway, I hope this is the case, and that everything will be great in the end.

October 8, 2014 at 5:41 pm in reply to: photos in fcpx – duration 10 seconds? Best way to import?I just tried to import from aperture in fcpx, and it doen’t come in with full res. It’s the preview quality that will be imported. Sadly.

September 22, 2014 at 10:39 am in reply to: How does FCPX store pictures imported from aperture?by the way –
my Library is stored on my internal drive, so I can always browse my Pictures without connecting the external drive.
But as soon as I try to edit them, I have to connect the external drive, where the Pictures are stored. -

September 22, 2014 at 10:30 am in reply to: How does FCPX store pictures imported from aperture?Ok, I`m actually importing from aperture to fcp
Window > Media Browser > Photos > aperture section
When I try to share Pictures from aperture, I have to connect my drive, so my Pictures are stored on the external drive. But, as said, I don`t have to Connect the drive when I move Pictures from aperture section to fcpx. Thats why I`m confused

September 22, 2014 at 10:18 am in reply to: How does FCPX store pictures imported from aperture?Ok, so pictures used in both Aperture and FCPX will take double Space?
But isn`t it strange that I can copy the pictures without connecting my external drive?

January 30, 2014 at 1:52 pm in reply to: How do you back up your internal hard drive and your external media hard drive?Ok, I have a 1 tb drive for back up, a 250 internal ssd and a 1 tb media drive. Should I make a 2 partition back up disc, one for internal and one for external? And then do the clone back up?
I want to use time machine, but I’m nervous that I can’t just restore the ssd, if (when) my machine crashes. Do I have control of this in tm.
I just want to make the best and easiest back up with the disc I’ve got. And, of course, it should also be easy when trouble arrives.

If I stick with tm, will I be able to boot from it, if I have to restore only my internal drive, or do I have to restore both internal and external when setting it up like this?
And vice versa, can I only restore external? Will the paths be the same? Fcpx will open my libraries like a dream?
