Not sure if I understand You well, but if you need to trace that bitmap psd to a vector just use the LiveTrace tool and play with its presets…

I am not expirienced with bcc but try to find & delete bcc folder in: /Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Application Support

I am not sure if i’ve caught it well..so if you have noise around the edges try Matte Choker effect.
