  • Thanks Dan, this just might be what I need. Ill try it at home on today once I’m back. Any possible way to control how steep the curve is?

    Thanks you.

    My Computer:
    Windows 7 64bit

    HP XW8200
    Intel Xeon (2 single processors)
    4GB DDR3 memory
    Nvidia Gforce Gt 220

  • Yep, I can see the dropepd frames in the preview this way. I hate to sound too demanding but are you sure that there are no software available to do this task automatically? Maybe some feature in Avidemux? Or one of the paid softwares you mentioned above.

  • The manual solution is thus far the onmly one I found, However I must note that after several render takes with different formats and codecs, I noticed that the green frames in the rendered videos are always randomized. They are never in the same place. Some renders have more flickers and some have less in the same sections.

One small note for anyone who will encounter the same problem.

The way I solved this is:

I converted the settings using Xilisoft HD Converter with the following settings:

    — Format -> HD AVI

    Video:
    Video Codec: mp4
    Video Size: Auto
    Bitrate: 1200
    Frame Rate: Auto
    Aspect Ratio: Auto
    Same Quality: True

    Audio:
    Audio codec: mp3
    Bitrate: auto
Sample Rate: I selected same as the source video

There is a tiny bit of quality loss but so far this serves my purpose. So just in case someone from google search finds this thread.

Ah, got it, thanks. I’ll try that, I do have separate drives and I’ll try to render the video there. Also…

How is the method of rendering a project using multiple workstations connected all together called? I’m not sure if Adobe Premiere supports this method…

… if the only way to deal with this is to buy a newer processor, well, I guess then I’m gonna have to shoot my original files in 720p.

well, I’m not a pro and my knowledge in this area is fairly small but I believe I ran into the same problem right when I began using Vegas…

I believe that you need to have Quick time 7.6.2 or 7.6.4 because the Apples latest quicklime update became incompatible with the Vegas scripts.

    Here is QT 7.6.2: https://www.brothersoft.com/quicktime-43141.html

Sorry for my lack of knowledge about this. I have installed both plug-ins (both 32bit). And as I mentioned, I used Mpeg Streamclip 1.2 to convert the files from .mov to .avi and I didn’t find a Lagarith or Huffyuv option anywhere.

Maybe I’m using an incompatible converter. I really don’t know the reason.

    Sorry again for this.

I have just installed the Lagarith. Well it doesn’t show up in the Mpeg Stream Clip converter. (But I didn’t restart the computer… let me to it now..)

Maybe you use a different software for converting. Could you suggest anything good. Freeware (if not good solutions then maybe the ones that you have to pay for.)

Thanks, I feel like it should end soon.
