Oh yeah and I would like to reveal the text from left to right. Hope you know what I mean by this. 🙂

Thanks to both of you. Unfortunately I can’t upload the footage because of the client NDA. The footage is shot on a tripod and is not moving. There is a guy behind drinking coffee and a text on lower third of the image. The text is not moving and it’s white. It’s quite short shot. There is no way to get the original footage because it’s made by another company. It’s from YouTube and the client of ours has rights to use it … well never mind where it’s coming from, but the thing is to get rid of the text so we can fit it in another size format. If it’s not possible, I might find another solution.. maybe blur it or put a black bar on top of it.
Thanks!
Mikko

August 11, 2016 at 10:58 am in reply to: the best video format to export from ae in windowsYes, I’m looking a format for master files. I tried that DNxHR, and it looks promising. The Avid Meridien Compressed -codec supports non-standard resolutions. Other I think stretches to standard resolutions. Thank you!

August 11, 2016 at 7:58 am in reply to: the best video format to export from ae in windowsHi. Sorry about that, I should have been more clear about this. We have a advertising agency, and we are doing a lot of digital signage and our workflow is like this. Mostly we are using After Effects and from there we are rendering to ProRes MOV from which we make all the final formats, usually full hd (but there can also be something like 682×948 and some other weird resolution screen) mp4 and smaller previews for our customers. This works just fine when we are doing with Macs, but now for a reason, I need to use windows pc and I’m looking for a equivalent format as ProRes is. Something that has good compress/image quality as ProRes has and supports all kinds of resolutions.

August 11, 2016 at 6:44 am in reply to: the best video format to export from ae in windowsThat PNG takes waay too much space. Can’t really use it. After 200, 20 second spots our file server is full. 20 second takes about 800 megs. 😐 There got to be some format close to ProRess…

August 9, 2016 at 10:19 am in reply to: the best video format to export from ae in windowsI noticed that this format is not good for us. It doesn’t allow different frame sizes like 1080×1920 which is full HD in portrait. We make a lot of digital signage screens and there are all sorts of sizes. I don’t know if the QuickTime with PNG compression is the best?

Thanks Dan!
It doesn’t work exactly right, but close enough. If i turn the Null to the right, it’s going ok, but to minus side Time remapping starts changing after 50° or something.
I made a little chance to the rotation part:
r = thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).transform.yRotation%360*-1;
if (r < 0) r += 359; framesToTime(r) Thank you. -
Turning layers towards camera is no problem. I linked the rotation and multiplied it by -1. But the time remapping is a bit problem. The 360° sequences are 356 images and if I rotate the null for example to 45° I need the time remap to be at 45. Also if the Null is -125° I need the time remap to be at 125.

All the footage is shot with Sony EX-1 and there are some graphic clips made in After Effects which are rendered with ProRes 4444 so I think everything is quite alright. No h.264 clips are used. :/
