You can create a URL flip in Premiere for QT and WMV videos. At the end of your movie add a Sequence marker. Double click the marker and enter a URL. When the end of the video plays, it will launch the browser.

Your PC/video card cannot create a high quality real time playback. Is there a RED “needs rendered” line above the video clips is the timeline? You can render a high quality preview file if needed by pressing the Enter key with the Timeline window selected.
Also the Program window is zoomed out to display the entire video creating artifacts….try setting the zoom level to any even 50 or 100%. -

You will need to convert the files on the stick to DV Type 2.avi using a video converter…there are many, some free…do a Google.

Regardless of her project settings, capturing via firewire does not change the clips. If she is giving you raw footage from your camera, then your project settings must match the properties of the clip, specifically Pixel Aspect Ratio.
Further, your export settings must also match the above. -
Try creating an new sequence for the pip…leave it full screen and then zoom to 150% as needed…then nest this sequence in a superior track of the original sequence and scale it to the pip size.

A Track Matte is probably the best option; In Photoshop create a black and white image the same size as your project. The black and white will be divided diagonally with a feathered divide…if you cant, email me and I will make it.
Put your 2 flags, one in V1 and the other is V2 and the track matte in V3. Apply the Track Matte key to V2 (not V3). Configure the effect…Luma as the key and reverse if necessary and point it to V3. -

AVI is a legacy architecture abandoned by Microsoft in the late 90’s, although Microsoft did wrap their DirectShow codecs (DV) in it.
3 rd party hardware and software vendors have utilized it over the years to package their codecs. The hardware dependent codecs like Matrox and Canopus are variations of DV. Others like DIVX and XVID have used the AVI wrapper but marketing conditions have left them in the dust.
Windows Media Video followed and is still popular, but Silver light is stalled.
H264 is the latest/greatest. MAC folks can play it with a .Mov wrapper and the rest of the world can play it in a .f4v wrapped in a Flash player in any web browser or in a QT player.
AVI is dead…long live Mpeg. -
